I got it for all those Prince of Persia fans out there, and non-fans alike. So please don't accuse me of copyright infringement, or plagurism. Enjoy. Somehow I became obsessed with this game and played through it multiple times a day trying to get the lowest time possible. When I noticed that I was only a few minutes away from the previous record I decided to make a new speedrun for it. There are almost no shortcuts in this game so most of the time saved comes from perfect execution of the moves and ignoring most battles with the sand monsters. Only a day before I made this run I discovered the prison shortcuts and the shortcut while climbing the Tower of Dawn, which both saved me a couple of minutes and gave me the lead I needed to top the previous record... Despite everything that went my way there are still a few things that could be improved: - When you first do a move it moves in slow motion which can be circumvented by changing the camera perspective while doing that move. Unfortunatly I found out about this after I did this run. - In "Above the baths" you don't have to pull the cabinet all the way to make the jump to the pillar. But I stopped pulling too early and lost ...

Holiday Ladder Safety

The holiday festivities are here. The annual hanging of lights and decorations from eves, gutters, walls, banisters and any other surface we can reach on our home begins.

For some, this is the only time of year the dusty ladder is pulled out of hiding. Little thought is given to how this tool is purchased or used safely.

Ladders are labeled with duty ratings. Type I, the industrial ladder, holds 250 pounds. Type II holds up to 225 pounds. Type III, the household ladder, holds up to 200 pounds.

Remember to include the weight of the tools or materials you plan to use. If you work around electrical wires, don't choose a metal ladder. A number of accidents occur each year because power lines and equipment wires contact metal ladders. Use a dry wooden or nonconductive fiberglass ladder for this kind of work.

Using a Ladder

Make sure the ladder is suited for the type of job you plan to do (see the types above).
Before using a ladder, especially a ladder that has been stored in the garage for a while, inspect it for cracks or broken joints.
Place your ladder on a stable, even, flat surface. Never place a ladder on top of another object.
Use the 1:4 ratio to ensure a stable working platform. Place the base of the ladder 1 foot away of whatever it leans against for every 4 feet of height to the point where the ladder contacts at the top (see graphic).
When using an A-frame stepladder, make sure the brace is locked in place.
If climbing onto another surface (like a roof,) make sure the ladder extends at least three feet past the platform you're climbing onto.
Secure tall ladders by lashing or fastening the ladder to prevent movement.
Always face the ladder when climbing or descending.
Keep both feet on the ladder - never put one foot on a rung and the other foot on a different surface.
Do not climb higher than the second rung on stepladders or the third rung on straight or extension ladders.
Never stand on the top or the paint shelf of a stepladder.
Keep your belt buckle (if you have one) positioned between the rungs so it doesn't catch.
Never leave ladders unattended - kids love them.
Never over reach, climb down and move the ladder.
Do not place a ladder on an icy surface.
When working with electricity, use a ladder made of wood or fiberglass.

Maintaining Ladders

Inspect ladders regularly. Stepladders and extension ladders should be inspected for broken or frozen joints or latches. Aluminum ladders should be inspected for cracks and broken welds. Aluminum ladders should also be inspected for rough spots and burrs before first use.

Wood ladders should be inspected for cracked wood, splinters, and rot. Look for broken or loose hardware. Protect wood ladders with linseed oil or clear sealant. Never paint a wooden ladder - the paint may hide imperfections such as rot or cracks.

Fiberglass ladders are protected with a clear sealant. If the fiberglass is damaged through the sealant, sand lightly before applying another coat of lacquer.

Climb the Ladder of Success

Climbing the ladder of success is a common metaphor. Not many realize how true and powerful that metaphor is. For anything in life you start out at the bottom rung and climb your way up. If you're really talented you can jump and reach the second, third, and maybe even fourth rung before you begin your climb. Still, to get to the top, you have to climb up rung by rung just like everyone else.

It is the same with any achievement. You have to start at the beginning, gain knowledge, experience, and wisdom, moving up the rungs of success until you achieve your ultimate goal. It is only the speed of the climb that's different for everyone, not the climb.

Many, however, are impatient. They look for the 'secret,' that hidden trick which vaults them to the top of their chosen path without having to climb the ladder rung by rung.

Jesse wanted to get rich by developing a shopping center / office complex. He wasn't willing to climb the latter rung by rung. Instead, he tried to vault to the top and tied up a large parcel of land. He hired engineers, real estate agents and assistants but had virtually no experience, knowledge, or ability to develop that kind of project. He ended up in court and lost it all (including his marriage). He was 'knocked' back down the ladder and has to start all over again. You can't avoid having to climb, no matter what you do.

In contrast, a very successful acquaintance tells all the young people who come to meet with him to discover his 'secret,' that the 'secret' is "showing up for work every day."

Another point: If you don't like the rungs you're climbing, you're probably on the wrong ladder.

Kids Bed Ladders - Safety Tips For Every Parent

Ladders for kids' beds are readily available for home delivery from Internet retail stores, so there is no reason to keep that old rickety or unstable bunkbed ladder that may be putting your child's safety at risk. You can purchase kids' bed ladders independently of the bunk bed, and they are affordably priced.

Kids love bunk beds and loft beds because they are an adventure in disguise. Parents love them because they save a lot of space in kids' small rooms and accommodate siblings and visiting relatives and overnight guests.

But kids' safety is the primary concern. Here are some tips to keep in mind when buying or evaluating a kids' bed ladder.

When the bunk ladder first arrives, check for damage to the box or bunk bed ladder inside. Please advise the shipper immediately if you notice any damage to the box or bunk ladder.
Test the ladder carefully yourself before allowing your child to climb it.
The ladder should sit firmly on the floor and hook over the front lower rail of the top bunk. The upper guard rails are not as firmly affixed to the bed frame, so use the front rail of the top bunk bed to attach the ladder.

The return trip may not go so well.

Sturdy bunk bed ladders will help your child stay safe. If you've had enough trips to the emergency room, or just don't want to envision that circumstance, make sure that the bunk ladder for your child's bed is easy to use and meets the safety criteria above.

Choosing the Right Ladder For the Job

There are a vast array of different types of ladders on the market and it can be often confusing when it comes to buying a ladder to find the exact one that suits your requirements. Despite the myriad of names and terms given to some ladders, they pretty much fall into three categories:

* The platform or step ladder
* Extension ladder
* Suspended ladder (such as a rope or roof ladder)

Each type is best suited to a particular purpose and to decide which one you need to assess what you require it for.

A platform or more commonly called a stepladder offers a stable working platform for placing tools and materials on. They also fold and open up like scissors which means they can be easily stowed away in the back of a van of under a staircase.

They are very sturdy and are useful for working at low height such as indoor decorating where access to ceilings is required.

Extension ladders are more useful for working at greater heights. They usually comprise of two or three separate ladders that are joined together and can slide apart and extend. Extensions require a wall or surface to prop them up. They also need to be rested against a surface at an appropriate angle and can slip if they are too vertical or too horizontal. These are responsible for more serious injury than other types of ladder.

Suspended ladders such as rope and roof ladders are used when there is no surface or floor to rest another type of ladder on. Ropes are often used to lower from height such as off helicopters and have the advantage of being able to be folded up.

Roof ladders tend to be made from aluminium and have a hooking system to suspend from a roof. They are often used on sloping surfaces as a vertical surface would require permanent attachment to the floor and/or roof.

Another consideration when it comes to buying a ladder is always make sure it is long enough for the height you will be working. Over reaching on one is a common cause of falls and it is better to buy a ladder rather than make do with an insufficient one.

Network Your Way To The Top Of The Business Ladder

Networking is one of the most important aspects of being a successful business person, if not the most important. Simply put, your service or product is not going to promote itself. Your own credibility will not just magically grow. Get out there and meet people, shake those hands, kiss those babies, being shy will not help your cause.

The best example I could give right now is that of attending a function or party. Now, some detractors may say that there is no point to go to these events and maybe get a chance to talk to only a few different people, maybe hand out a couple of business cards only to never hear back from anyone. I would be lying if I was to say that this does not happen, but it does......alot. But there is a reason for that, and there is a simple way to make going to that party/function very worthwhile.

For example, whenever I go to a business function I get around and talk to different people. Great, so does everybody else. I hand out my business card. Great, so does everybody else. I also receive alot of business cards. Great, so does everybody else. Whats the difference between what I do and what everybody else does? The answer is not much.

The next step, however, is the key. Within the next 7 days of meeting and exchanging business cards with anyone I meet, be it at a business function, party, charity event, so on and so forth, I will follow up and contact each person in some way, shape or form. Usually the best way I've found to do is setting up a 'LUNCH MEETING' and its great, but one of many things you can do.

For example, have you ever heard the phrase, 'lets do lunch'? Its common to hear that all the time in the business world. I say it alot, but the interesting thing about it is that when I do, I always follow up on it within the next 7 days because truly successful people keep their committments. Even if its going to be with someone who is not directly related to my industry or business, it doesn't matter, doing these kinds of things really help you make a name for yourself and can pay huge dividends in the future.

I remember this one time I met a local Restaurant manager and we exchanged cards. I followed up with him the next week and I ended up attending his own birthday function, brought a gift and had a great time(remember that following up can be in many different ways). A couple of weeks later I met with one of my clients for dinner along with 3 potential clients at this manager's restaurant. I was running late(try to avoid tardiness) and not even 5 minutes after showing up and making the introductions at the table, there came the manager. Free drinks for the entire table, good conversation, and he treated us all great.

Not very often do most people walk into a restaurant and have free complimentary drinks served by the manager personally. Lets just say, not surprisingly, I did business with all 3 potential clients at that table. Enough said. Get out there and meet people, network, last but not least, follow up.

Bunk Bed Basics - Choosing a Bed Ladder

The thing about bunk beds is that they can be great space savers when you have more kids than you have rooms in the house. They offer a great way to provide each kid with a bed of his own even when he has to share a room with his siblings. But while bunk beds can be excellent additions to cramped spaces, they can also pose safety threats particularly with the wrong choice of bed ladder.

Permanent bed ladders

Bed ladders are designed to offer easier access to the upper bunks. They are usually made from the same type of material from which the bunk bed is made. In many cases, bunk beds already come with ladders screwed to the edge of the bed. If the bunks are going to be used by children, it is safer to install permanent ladders. Just make sure that they are bolted in a part of the bed that is easily accessible.

Removable ladders

There are also bunk beds that come with removable bed ladders. These are ladders that are simply hooked onto the upper bunk so they can easily be removed when not in use. This bed ladder is more appropriate if you're going to have teenagers sleeping in the bunks. It's also a great idea for guest rooms. The thing about removable ladders, however, is they are not as stable as the bolted down types. There's a higher risk of accidents with this type.

Buying tips

If you feel that the bed ladder that your bunk bed comes with isn't stable enough, you can opt to purchase a separate ladder. When shopping, always consider weight capacity. Make sure that the ladder you choose can accommodate the weight of an adult or teenager to ensure that it wouldn't break easily.

There are a million ways to waste time on social networks and computers in general, much to the chagrin of hundreds of thousands of employers across the nation. Heck, around the world for that matter. All of them are fun, but some of them rise to the level of an obsession.

It started out with games like Computer Solitaire and Tetris. When I was in college, the big addictive game sucking everyone's time was Bejeweled. In fact, my roommate and I even had t-shirts made up of a cartoon we saw where Jesus is drinking a Sprite and staring intently at a computer screen. There is a speech bubble coming in from the outer frame of the cartoon that says, "Son, weren't you going to get on that Second Coming thing? Also, I thought I told you to mow the Heavens." To which Jesus responds, "But, Dad, I'm Bejeweling!" That may or may not seem funny to you, but the point is, the addiction was widespread - among internet nerds, anyway. My roommate and I both qualified.

With Social Networks, however, time-wasting and obsession moved beyond the realm of the net geek and into the mass culture. Everyone has a MySpace. People have killed countless hours messaging, commenting, and in general micro-communicating via social networks since their inception.

Well, Facebook has found a way to marry those two concepts with Facebook games.

Initially, I thought I was immune to the charms of Facebook games. I am far too busy and far too mature, I told myself, to start frittering time away at Facebook's answer to PopCap.

Until my friend Brandy challenged me to a game of WordTwist. Now I can't stop playing.

Initially, it was a fun little time-filler when I had five minutes to kill. But that very quickly blossomed into a full-blown obsession with beating my college boyfriend's score. Which I did, about a day into my quest.

And it's spreading to other members of my family, as well. Now my Mom and nine-year-old niece both want Facebook accounts so they can play WordTwist.

I also noticed when I was on my ex's page leaving an unrelated comment that one of his notifications was, "Jeff is climbing the WordTwist ladder," so I think he may be hot on my heels.

I'd better go see if I can raise my score!

The first part consists of running back and forth keeping the ladders down. This part isn't too difficult. You can also use the grappling hooks to go down and kick off ladders without fighting Orcs. After doing this for a time, you get a scene where Trolls are pushing ladders towards the city. You must head up to the catapult near the left side of the wall. When you get there, fire the catapult twice using the Action Button to knock down the tower. You then need to head to the left side of the wall to stop the second tower. At this part you need to use your Ranged attack to hit the tower and knock it over. . Follow the path and a tower crashes into the city. Your Overrun Meter will hugely increase and you must use the grappling hooks to get to another one and climb up it. Go towords the tower and shoot it to bring it down. Go to the top of the tower to pick up Experience Points and go down stairs while following the soldiers. You will view a scene. (There is alternative way to destroy last towers .
